Most memorable:
Student and why: my student in Luis Palad Provincial High School in Tayabas, Quezon. He taught me to be more compassionate and understanding of young people.

Unforgettable experience:

My travel to Prague alone. I was scared at first but learned how to be on my own.
Embarrassing moment
When my skirt fell while I was crossing a main street in Tokyo, Japan with some foreigners. It was a wrap-around skirt and in my hurry, I failed to tie it very well.

The What ifs:
If you were given the privilege to talk to one of the presidents or heroes of our country, who would it be and why?

President Marcos. I'll ask him many whys. but he is my favorite President. My hero of course id Dr. Rizal. If I would be able to talk to him, I'll ask him how we can make the youth be like him.

If you were granted by a genie of the magic lampara 3 wishes, what would they be?

First, give me wealth so I can build houses for the informal settlers para wala ng kawawang nakatira sa mga depressed areas. Second, Gift me with a beautiful voice, so I can realiuze my dream of singing anywhere and anytime; Third, long life so I can see my grandchildren grow to be young ladies and I can finish all the books I wish to write which would be my legacies to the young people of my country.

If there's one more profession you wanted to practice or pursue, what would it be and why?
Stage acting. I love acting on stage.

Life as an educator and administrator:

It is a very fulfilling life. I am extremely happy when I am lecturing especially about love of country and our culture and arts.

What was the most challenging task you have ever encountered at PUP and why?

Being Dean of the Graduate School and the College of Arts. I had to deal with different kinds of people, all highly educated and intelliegent as well students who looked up to me not only as a Dean but mother, friend and mentor.

Do you enjoy doing your job? Why or why not?

Both. I enjoy teaching and performing my job as administrator. But insincere friends make me unhappy and wish I am out of the academe.

Which of the books you have written and published you really liked the most and why?
Whispers" from a Woman's Heart". It is a collection of my poems but yet to be published. The other one is "From the Fibers of My Mind", also for printing

How do you see yourself few years from now?
A grand old woman, still graceful in retirement and tending to my dream library and museum as well as rest house in Tagaytay which I will have built after I retire.

Thank you. I love you all - Amy
