Working Committees and Assignments for History Month Activities

August 24, 2012
Convocation and Food Festival
a. Everyone must be at the venue before 8:00 A.M.
b. Working Committees:

• Registration Committee (co-chair, Ghied Gustilo)- must be at the venue (Balagtas Hall) around 7:00 A.M. 
• Lay / Corsage for the speaker - c/o Geneva Urizar 
• 2 student ushers from BA History 3-1 (Mr. Gambito and female student) are assigned to pick up the speaker from the designated area. 
• Food and Refreshment for Banda Kawayan to be taken care of BA History 3-1. Please refer to Hairish Lignes for details.
• Protocol Committee - please ready the signage to be used during the event. 
• Documentation Committee - each classes must assign 2 students who are to take photos of the event. 
• Note: The student-photographers are to provide copies (either saved on discs or flash drives) to PUPSMK
• Technical Committee- likewise, members of this committee must come to school very early. Kindly check all the equipment to be used and bring a spare power cord extension. 

Note: All BA History students must get involved with all the activities launched by the Department and PUPSMK.  Attendance will be checked by the PUPSMK. These will be forwarded to your respective teachers in major subjects.

Attention All BA History Majors

Everyone is required to be at school this Friday, August 18, for the photo opportunity. I advise everyone to please wear your uniform while PUPSMK officials would have to bring extra costume (Filipiniana). Please come on time (mga 11:30A.M.) Our photos will be taken by Prof. Narciso Cabanilla.

Academic Contests sa History Month

a. Pagsulat ng Sanaysay (kahit ilang participants)

b. Sayawitan (Sariling katha ng kanta minimum of 10 maximum of 15)

c. Sabayang Pagbigkas (atleast 1 entry per faculty, piece REPUBLIKANG BASAHAN, minimum of 20, maximum of 25)

d. Talumpatian (Sariling gawa)

e. Quiz Bee ( open only to ab history students)

3. Food Festival
Tema: "Ang Lasa ng Kasaysayan." Ang aligsahan ay gaganapinsa Agosto 24, 2012 sa room s605 at s606. Ito ay lalahukan ng ibat ibang kursong kumukuha ng HS 1013/HS 1033. Ang mga klase/kurso ay magpapalabunutan ng SPICE/pampalasa na gagamitin parra sa paghahanda at pagluluto ng pagkanin. Ito ay ie-exhibit sa Agosto 24, 2012 sa rooms s605 at s 606. Ang ihahandang pagkain ay dapat sasapat sa 25-30 tao, kasama na rito ang mga lupon ng ginampalan. 

Ang mga sumusunod ay ang kraytirya ng paligsahan

Presentasyon 20%
Lasa 40%
Pananaliksik tungkol sa pampalasa at maikling kasaysayan ng inihandang pagkain 40%
Kabuuang bilang: 100%.

Ang panagalan ng mga hurado ay pansamantalang itatago upang maging patas sa pamimili ng mga magwawagi.  Ang mga presidente ng klase ay inaasahang makipagkita sa koordinaytor ng paligsahan upang makabunot ng spice na gagamitin sa pagkain. koordinaytor prof. maria rhodora agustin.

Why did you take BA History program?

High School pa lamang ako ay gusto ko ng mapag-aralan ang kasaysayan ng pilipinas maging ang asya dahil na rin sa kagustuhan ng aking guro sa ARALING PANLIPUNAN na namayapa na noong agosto 22, 2012, sabi niya sa akin mag-enrol daw ako ng programang History para mas lumawak pa ang aking kaalamanan. At Un the rest is history na nga.

Which history subject you are liking at the moment?

Pre-colonial and colonial Philippines ang gusto kong history subject as of now kasi andami kong natututunan lalo pa ng pinapabasa kami n imam agustin ng ibat ibang book na related sa subject naming..grabe ang sarap talagang pag-aralan ung tipong ang alam mo lang ay ung amaya pero kapag nagbasa ka pa ng nagbasa dadami pa ung kaalamanan po, super like ko talaga ung erang pre at colonial history..

How do you find your teachers in History?

Bilang pangulo ng smk, nakikita ko ang aming mga guro sa kasaysayan bilang isang mabuting taga-gabay sa amin sapagkat hindi lang naman sila guro upang turuan kami ng mga asignatura, sila rin ung tumatayong magulang naming sa loob ng pamantasan, napakabuti nila sa amin at kahit kailan hindi nila kami pinapabayaan. Ang mga pangaral nila sa amin ay nagsisilbing aral sa amin upang gawin pa ang mga bagay na laam nilang magiging pakipakinabang sa amin balang araw at habang buhay ko naman iyong itatatak sa aking isipan. Naalala ko nga nang pumunta kami ng marinduque, imagine dagat ang pagitan niyon sa manila, Nang biglang umatake ang sakit ng aking tiyan at ito’y nag bleed na, ang akala ko duon na ako mamamatay un pala hindi, nang malaman ng mga propesor ko an gang sakit agad-agad nila akong dinala sa ospital at hindi nila ako pinabayaan hanggang sa gumaling ako at ma i-discharge, ang buong pamilya ko ay lubos na nagpapasalamat sa mga taong tumulong sa akin, at sabi pa nga nila alam nilang ligtas at walang mangyayaring masama sa akin lalo pa kung kasama ko ang mga propesor ko, kaya malaki ang tiwala nila sa aking mga guro.

Is there a memorable experience at school you want to share? What would it be?

ah, memorable experience ito ung rizal week celebration, ganito un kami noong 1-1 pa kami lagi naming nililinis an gaming klasrum bago at pagkatapos ng klase naming, ganun pa ri naman kami hanggang ngayon, sa sobrang bwusit ko dahil nadatnan naming ang klasrum naming na tila payatas ang dating dahil sa mga basurang iniiwan ng mga estudyanteng gumagamit n gaming klasrum sa south 606, hindi ko napigilan ang aking sarili na hindi magsalita ng masasama, tapos eto na may biglang pumasok sa room at ang sabi kukunin na daw nila ung mga gamit nila para sa 150th ni rizal eh!, bad trip ako nun gusto ko sanang awayin ung mga un, tapos pagka lingon ko NABIHAG AKO NG NGITI NI KENNETH JAIRUS SANTOS CRUZ ko, tapos ang galit ko boglang nauwi sa isang pag-ibig ika nga nila love at first sight, grabe ang gwapo gwapo niya nun, dun ung unang araw ko siyang nakita, nakakabaliw hindi ko na siya nilayuan ng tingin at lagi ko na siyang hinahanap hanap sa kagawaran, siya nga ung nagging inspirasyon ko nun para pumasok at mag-aral ng mabuti..kaloka ang gwapo niya talaga..at un na nga.

If you were given the privilege to ask one professor in history at PUP, who would be that teacher and what would be your question?

Prof. Dado, sir dado ano po ba ulet ung tulang ginawa mo sa monument ni rizal?

You saw 1,000 peso bill lying on the floor. What would you do?

aba 1000 na un kung hindi ko naman alam kung sino ang may-ari eh akin na un, hahhahhaha sama lang ng ugali, hindi kung nakita ko naman kung sino ung nakalaglag ng pera aba isasauli ko naman aba malay ko bang un nalang pala ung huli niyang pera o pang bayad sa tuition niya edi nagging konsensya ko pa un na hindi siya nakapag-aral o nakauwi ng bahay nila, ang pera naman kasi madaling kitain kung magpupursige lang tayo at magsusumikap.

Wala pa po akong vision hanggang ngayon pero po alam ko malapit na.
